Like all Airfree® air purifiers the ELITE II uses passive air convection to draw contaminants in, similar to how a hot air balloon rises. As air passes the ceramic core, the allergens and microorganisms are destroyed at 400°F, without heating the unit or the air.
Once turned on, keep the unit running continuously for optimal performance. Air purifiers only work when they are on, and the Lotus is energy-efficient, so let it run.
You should notice a 70-90% reduction in microorganisms within 10 days, with initial results visible after one week.
Safety Feature
In the event, the unit is installed incorrectly or airflow is blocked, the Thermo-dynamic sterilizing ceramic core will be disconnected and it will stop working. If that happens the anti-stress light will start blinking to call for attention, indicating poor installation, or eventual malfunctioning. Once corrected the anti-stress light will stop blinking and the unit will start working.
